Who we are
About Us
Reform the Arts is a nonprofit organization committed to restoring and strengthening the presence of performing arts in schools and communities across the United States. Our mission is to provide youth— especially in underserved urban communities—with the tools, spaces, and inspiration they need to express themselves through music, dance, and theater.
Our Vision
We envision a country where every child, regardless of background or income, has access to high-quality performing arts education. From the stage to the studio, we foster creativity, confidence, and community.
What We Do
• Music Education: Equipping schools with instruments and creating access to studio-based learning for students.
• Dance Programs: Partnering with local instructors to offer hip-hop, ballet, and contemporary dance in community centers and schools.
• Theater Training: Providing stage production tools, scriptwriting sessions, and drama workshops that boost literacy and self-esteem.
• Resource Support: Supplying classrooms with the necessities—costumes, instruments, studio time, and mentorship opportunities.
Why It Matters
The arts are not a luxury—they are a lifeline. They improve academic performance, mental health, and social development. For many youth, the arts provide an outlet for expression, healing, and purpose. .
